party/rain/english lessons/im in love.

Like my title? haha so much has been goin on i didnt know what to call this post....anyway! Carlo he turned two this week so we had a birthday party for him so everyone was down on the front porch and at first when luisa asked me to go down there i was kinda bummed. It was a saturday so i was hoping i could just do whatever i wanted, i was mad at the mailman for losing my letter and its been raining 3 days straight. Im talking STRAIGHT! non-stop. it literally hasnt stopped for one minute so i was just in a weird mood just wanted to go to sleep and wake up to a new day ya know? But im so glad she asked me to cuz it just turned my little frown upside down! :) There was probably 12 little kids but 9 of them that wouldnt leave my side. They are all so stinkin cute and love me. They ask luisa how to say something easy in english and then they will come say it to me all proud or they will just talk to me in italian anyways cuz i can kinda pick up what theyre saying so i'll get what they are asking me for and one of the little girls went up to luisa and said *in italian* "i dont get it. Does she not like to talk because when i talk to her she knows what i say but she says she cant speak italian." Hahaa so these little kids were confused and didnt realize that its so much harder to speak it then it is to understand it! So throughout the party all of them fought over who gets to sit on my lap and hold my hands and i made the mistake of spinning around one of the girls and oh my lanta talk about a mob. All these little kids are jumping at me goin off in italian how its their turn they want spun but i didnt know what to say to them for them to understand that i will spin each of them once but they have to take turns and sit down. It took forever but they finally got it figured out and i had to Spin 9 of them....talk a bout dizzy. BUT then they were just too cute begging and i had to do them all one more time. Its safe to say i was exhausted last night. But its okay cuz i have 9 little friends now...yayy :)

Sorry im not sorry for not getting ready here haha my great grandma pearl told me "ayrica...make yourself as unatractive as you possibly can when you're over there" She's scared some guys are gunna creep on me haha! So really im just obeying my favorite 93 year old :) but sometimes i do get ready haha i have to represent america over here duh ;) But obviously today was a no hair/make up type day but that is normal for some italians...either that or extreme hooker haha. Oh and mom thanks for naming me ayrica....everyone laughs and goes ohhh ay-ree-kah from a-may-ree-kah! its like kindergarten all over again ( i used to get called ayrica america).

  This is Sofia and she is the oldest. She was so funny they all love sticking out their tongues so i got an m&m and made mine blue and stuck it at her and she basically fell in love with me after that. She never left my side the whole night and kept running back and forth getting more m&m's for us haha.

 This is Benedicta and i am obsessed with her. She reminds me so much of lydia!!! I always tell her "Benny benny boo booo booo (yes off of how to loose a guy in 10 days) you are so cah-uteeee can i have you?!" I had luisa translate for me once so she knows what i say everytime i say it  now and she just smiles and giggles. Shes a cutie for sure.

 All the kiddos around the cake...Carlo was so stinkin cute trying to blow them out and when his mom took the cake to cut it up, leone thought she was taking it away and he started crying and screaming "noooooo noooo tortaaa nooooooo (cake)!"

 Filippo! <3 this little boy has my heart haha he is so cute! He looks like the skinny little kid off of The Little Giants exactly! The one that goes "dont you be talkin bout my momma!!! i want to pump..YOU up!" My family at least knows who im talking about.

 Ludovica-she just learned how to ride her bike without training wheels and i helped her so she trust me now...at first she was kinda shy but now she is my little bud too.

So thats the party! Now....my favorite Italian song right now....look up Francesca Michielin Sola!! I LOVE it. She is only 16 or 17 and won xfactor, idk why i love it so much cuz i dont even know what it says really, just certain parts but i will sing it all day(the parts i know of course) haha but i am determined to learn the whole thing. I can honestly say i've been listening to it on repeat the whole time making this post....

 

English/Italian Lessons

I got invited to an english class to help them out so its really fun cuz they are all so nice to me and want to help me with italian so i really hope it works out. Its hard tho cuz its late at night and i am always so tired but its fun. I have to talk so slow to them i feel like an idiot and they all thought i had a thing with this guy elson cuz he picked me up for the lesson and he is 24 but i quickly put that little rumor to rest haha. To be honest i was scared cuz right before elson picked me up i found out he was from albania and off of the movie taken it says the sex slave trade thing is organized in albania and comes to italy so inside i freaked for a minute but nah they are all super nice so no worries!!

Yes, its official, i love Leone. He is the "sour patch kid" first hes sour..then hes sweet. hahaa just cuz he cries so much but thats not his fault his parents didnt/dont ever punish him so he knows no difference and when hes with just me hes an angel. And i actually said i love you to him and then realized oh my goshhhh ayrica you said it! So yeah. He looked at my phone screensaver which is a picture of TJ and he goes "Aw-caw baccio?" then made me kiss the phone and then he took it and kissed him as well hahaaha little boy is so cute. Its my favorite when his parents are home and im off duty so im just chillin but he still wants to know where i am so i'll hear this little "a-caw.....a-caw dove sei?" So i'll yell back at him and when he finds me he'll just get all excited and say "ohhh hiii a-caw hi! a-caw hi hi!" over and over while he hugs my legs it melts my heart.  I asked him the other day "Leone...america...you want to come to a-may-ree-kah with me?!" (Like off of Rush hour) haha he yelled Si so its official, im bringing him home with me. Oh also there is another boy i saw at school and he is so cute ( hes maybe 5 years old so im allowed to say this) haha probably the cutest little kid i have ever seen in my life.

bahahah Leone and Camilla are both afraid of going number two...weird. So they are in the tub and he starts screaming caw caw!! caw caw!! and so we didnt have time to get his little toilet or put a diaper on him so i just grabbed him out and sat him on the toilet...he cried the whole time, he hats the toilet. And luisa took a pic cuz she thought it was funny...which it was :)

My New Love

Call me crazy but i love snails :) haha really, they are sooo cool. I love them.  We spent hours this morning finding and just playing with them. Luisa told me that if you put salt on them they will bubble up so i wanted to try it! But then i felt bad cuz i had 11 of them and had to pick just one to kill oh my gosh i'll shoot a bird for fun but when i was looking at the snails i couldnt pick which one to kill so i made luisa. She comes out and looks at them...picks one up and says "Kill this one, its the ugliest." hahahahaha she cracks me up. Leone had a marker and he started coloring them so i joined him and we drew on their shells. Theyre my newest obsession, judge me.

 Okay so Leone made me laugh so hard today. that dot in the middle of the green drawing on the floor....its a lady bug. Well it was a lady bug haha now its squashed. He picked the lady bug off of the table, set it right in the center of that green drawing he made (dont worry, im not an awful nanny...its washable :) and grabbed his hammer, says "a-caw! a-caw!" BAM smashes this lady bug with his hammer twice then stands up, puts the hammer i his pocket and his hands on his hips. He takes a step back and just admires his work all proud of himself. Ha! I laughed so hard cuz he was so proud and it made me think of the emperors new groove where esma goes "ill turn him into a flea, put him inside a box, put that box inside of another box and mail that box to me. When it gets here i'll smash it with a hammaaaaa" Something like that....anyways i had that on my mind so it was even more funny.

Welp my momma text me yesterday and told me i was not doing a good job at keeping in touch through my blog this week...OOPS :P So i just spent FOR-EV-ERRR *yes, squintz off of sandlot voice* haha trying to upload my videos and its impossible. It takes way to long and then freezes and its making me SO mad cuz leone is stinkin cah-ute i want all of you to see him! :( He can count to 10 now...whenever we go up or down the stairs i count and yesterday i didnt do it and he freaked out. "Ah-caw Ah-caw no no ah-caw! one... two... ee... fa...ibe... see...ut... nine... ten!" I died laughing i had no idea he even paid attention to me when i counted and so now i make him count with me and he is getting better but always forgets seven and just the way he says the numbers is so cute. So there is a video of that and then of us makin faces cuz he loves pretending he's all hardcore then he'll just giggle and he has the cutest little laugh. Oh also when we play "1..2..3..4...5..6" (hide n seek) whenever i am looking for them i say "hummmm i wonder where they could be! hummmmm" like very dramatic and leone copies me its the funniest thing. He will count then in his little voice over and over he will keep going hummmmm hummmmm hummmm! There was a lot butttttttt i will throw my computer out the window if i have to wait any longer for them to load :)  So heres just some pics from this week.

 Um coolest thing EVER!! This house is sooo old like 1400's and so they decided they wanted to make the attic into another like bedroom bathroom living room for the next nanny that comes. So they are up there tearing it all up because it had 3 layers of flooring and in the bottom floor they found all these old war stuff and these are just 2 of the swords. Cool huh? They also said that if you break down walls you will find money, gold and jewelery hidden because back in the day thats what everyone did with all their valuables during war time and this is the oldest house here. 

 Whenever i do my mad face it makes leone laugh and usually he will do his mad face too...hes so cute! And camilla is obsessed with sticking out her tongue because i do this little trick where i pretend my finger controls my tongue. I'll touch my nose and that makes my tounge stick out. Then i'll pull on my right ear and my tongue will slide to the right. So i'll pull on my left ear and my tongue will slide to the left. Then i'll push on my nose again and make my tongue go straight out, pull my throat and my tongue goes back in my mouth...probably sounds weird huh? haha its funny cuz kids really think they can control it so they will come up and press my nose and pull my ears. Idk my dad does it so i did it too and they love it! So that is why she has her finger touching random  places on her face with her tongue sticking out :P Oh and we found snails :)

 One of their favorite things to do is to fix their play house. They walk around with fake tools and will hammer the bolts for hourssss!

 More than anything, this little boy loves to clean. Its annoying haha whenever he hears the vacuum he will run to it all excited and will cry if you dont let him vacuum. He wil vacuum then just wrestle it and kiss it...you betcha he kissed it right after this pic was taken haha he is obsessed with it!

These things....gross. So one time my uncle corey caught a goose from some lake and kept it at his house as his pet. I didnt believe him when he said he was gunna go outside to feed his pet goose so i walked out there after him. As soon as i turned the corner this goose freaking attacked me!!! It ran at me flapping its wings, honking and then flew up and bit me right on the top of my belly button! Then he bit my cuzin kylie on the head haha its funny now buttttttt i've been terrified of them ever since. So when i saw these things, leone got all excited running up to them wanting to play with them. They started getting all stirred up running around flapping so i thought oh my gosh their gunna attack him too! So here i am deciding im gunna run up and save this little boy from these birds but when i got close to them my mind went back to when i was little and my uncles goose attacked me and i freaked. I started flinching and screamed for leone and he just stood there laughing at me -_- How embarassing huh? a 19 year old tripps out over these stupid birds and a 2 year old remains perfectly calm. Welcome to my life.

BETTY! That stupid goat head butts the two glass doors and will get in the house. Im scared of it so it freaked me out and i had to chase it all around the house twice cuz luisa was gone! Leone was screaming for help the whole time it was actually pretty funny, hopefully when i figure out how to upload my videos faster i can post that one too. The kids are doing really well with their english...maybe i'll be a teacher when i get back. ha joke, i hate school. But it does make me feel good when they understand me and repeat things back to me. Leone surprises me everyday with what he picks up :)

One Month!

I cannot believe it has already been a month since i first got here...crazyyy time is going by so much faster than it did when i was at home thank goodness!! Here's just a few pics&stories :)

Shyaaa we shot pigeons off the rooftops of an old obandoned factory behind their backyard; they were very impressed when i shot the bird on my first try :) He has a silencer on it so we can shoot from the balcony without getting in trouble, it was really fun besides getting eaten alive by a gagillion mosquitos. -_- not a fan.

 

Taking Camilla to school...*GOOD NEWS*- that creeper guy hasnt been there all week :) yayyy me. Its also getting pretty cold here. I havnt busted out the coats yet but im sure in a week or two i will be. It is in the high 50's low 60's here right now so definitely scarf and boots every day which i loveee but im holding off on jackets as long as possible!!!  

The first time we took the pic i smiled and camilla says "nos nos, tus" and points to her tongue cuz she wanted me to stick mine out too. she is so funny cuz we have to tell her everyday that no is the exact same in english and italian and its not tus its you! Somedays she gets it really good and she will use her english alot (makes me feel like a proud little teacher) and then others she just refuses. Today was a good day she came into my room and says "ay-reek-a...a-may-reek-a! yo *pointing to herself* eat eat *doing the eating sign putting her fingers to her mouth* ummm punatate...ummm panatacate? (im sitting here trying to figure out what she is trying to say and then bammm i can smell pancakes! So i say pancakes?) "Si! Si eat eat pancakes! de-leesh-us! ummm hi hello ciao goooood morning!"  Her little accent is so cute. And its so fun watching her say the words she learns because she tries so hard. I have to make sure i congratulate her and make a huge deal whenever she says something right cuz once the mom and i laughed at a phrase she tried saying cuz she butchered it so bad that she refused to speak any english the rest of the day and she cried. I felt so bad so now whenever she even just says good morning i praise the heck out of her and she gets so happy and will ask her mom how to say more words in english to me. She is a cutie!

 HA! Thissss kid. He kills me. Lucky for me, luisa isnt the italian type that wants to get super fancy so why would i!? I havn't even used my straightener yet so i just gave it to leone to play with cuz he thinks its so fun but he hasnt quite figured out that its for the hair....He uses it to pinch his nose and then he'll come up and pinch mine and laugh like it is the funniest thing in the world.

Hahaah idk why his eyes turned out so creepy!! My little running partner :) Unfortunately i was cursed with my mothers hips. Thanks mom *sarcasm* Normally i can get them to pop and then i will be just fine but just my luck i couldnt get my left hip to pop so the last 2 days i feel like a 91 year old not a 19 year old!! Its awful is hurts so bad i woke up 4 times no 3 times last night from pain. I can feel it, its so close to being able to pop but it wont and its making me so frustrated. Everything here is hills so i cant take leone to any parks or on walks cuz i cant walk up anything!! I tried walking up the stairs to let the t.v. installing dude in and i looked like an idiot, kay more like a 2 year old going up the stairs how they step up with one foot then bring the other foot up to it instead of stepping to the next step. So i would go one stair at a time. Step with right, lift my left then step with right, lift my left. Normally when i cant get it to pop myself i just have someone i trust grab my leg and i will lay down and i'll just have them pull it til i can feel it pop but i would feel so weird asking Luciano or Luisa to do it haha thats awkward so eh hopefully i can get it in place soon.

Its kinda hard to tell but these bugs love me :( i hate them. I get bit by everything!!! Idk what this bite it....its hard like super super hard and hot when you touch it. Its not a mosquito and i dont think its a spider bite cuz i can only see one hole. This is just one of 6 i got that day -_- oh and a FATTY one on my neck like right on the vein so i have this huge bubble ugh it freaked me out when i first saw it. Shyaaa you bet i wore a scarf that day. 

Camilla. This little girl is so lazy. She is so funny because we will be walking home from school and her mom will ask her what she ate for lunch/did at school and all she'll say is "oh momma im too tired to tell you i just need to rest" *in italian of course* so we will go home and she can never sit still! This is her watching tv. She is constantly moving around sitting in the weirdest positions, i've never seen her sit normal and watch a show. So the mom says this is her workout for the day because she is always to tired to do anything else.

Funny Kid

Confession: Sooo i know its a total fashion no no to wear black and brown....everyone has always said black and brown do not match and i totally agreed. Well, italians love the black and brown! At first i looked at everyones outfits and thought they were so weird and ugly but idk its kind of growin on me now. K to be perfectly honest im wearing a black and brown stripped shirt/dress with black leggings and black boots. JUDGE ME. And the italians around here are all about leggings, they never wear jeans and jeans are all i ever wore butttt this country is changing me haha! Dont be surprised when i come home and wear leggings on a day to day basis oh and black and brown together and scarfs...scarves? whichever.
